Abstract
Damage to roads is very disturbing to transportation infrastructure which has an important role as infrastructure for the distribution of goods and services. Therefore, with the damage to roads, it is necessary to assess road conditions to determine the appropriate road evaluation program. One of the parameters used is the International Roughness Index or IRI. Along with the development of technology, it encourages the use of smartphone applications as a tool to determine the value of IRI. The purpose of this study is to determine the value of IRI based on the influence of vehicle age using the Roadbump Pro software application and to determine the correlation between IRI and vehicle age. This study was conducted in two locations. namely Jln.Bundaran PU and Jln.Timor Raya with a length of each segment of 600m and analyzed per 100m. The results of this study indicate that the smartphone application obtains the IRI value based on the age of the HRV survey vehicle (vehicle age 1 year) at the PU Roundabout road location, the highest IRI value is 11.63 m / km and the lowest is 2.32 m / km. At the location of the Timor Raya - Pasir Panjang road, the highest IRI value is 12.76 m / km and the lowest is 3.24 m / km. Pickup survey vehicles (vehicle age 6 years) at the location of the PU Roundabout road, the highest IRI value is 11.75 m / km and the lowest is 3.15 m / km. At the location of the Timor Raya - Pasir Panjang road, the highest IRI value was 13.34 m / km and the lowest was 3.70 m / km. While the IRI correlation with the age of the HRV survey vehicle (vehicle age 1 year) had a correlation coefficient greater than 0.56. shows that the vehicle suspension is still very good. While the pickup type vehicle (vehicle age 6 years) has a correlation coefficient of at least 0.32, this indicates that the vehicle suspension is no longer good. This shows that the survey vehicles with different ages have a different determination value because it is influenced by the suspension of each vehicle. This correlation shows that the use and utilization of the Roadbump Pro smartphone application in determining IRI with the two types of vehicles is good for use as a survey vehicle.
