Abstract
This research is a descriptive research type and uses a qualitative approach. The subjects in this study consisted of three students taken from high, medium, and low midterm exam scores. Research subjects were also selected according to the results of discussions between mathematics teachers and researchers. Data collection methods in this study were tests, interviews and documentation. Credible research data obtained by time triangulation method. The results showed that (1) subjects with high abilities could understand what was known and asked in the questions, subjects were able to plan well, by solving problems according to plans and subjects were able to re-examine (2) subjects with moderate abilities could write and say that is known and asked in the question correctly and correctly,it appears that the subject with moderate ability is able to understand the problem. However, the subject is less able to plan and the subject also solves the problem, although it is not optimal. Subjects also do not make conclusions and do not re-examine the answers that have been done. (3) Subjects with low abilities are able to write and state what is known and asked in the questions correctly, but less than optimal, the subjects also seem unable to plan and solve problems, and unable to check back.
