Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this study is 1) Do Inflation and GRDP have a Partial Effect on Investment in Kupang City? 2) Do Inflation and GRDP Simultaneously Affect Investment in Kupang City?. The objectives of this study are 1) to find out whether inflation and GRDP have a partial effect on investment in Kupang City. 2) To find out whether Inflation and GRDP Simultaneously Affect Investment in Kupang City. This study uses Quantitative Data, a type of data that can be measured or calculated directly, in the form of information or explanations expressed by numbers or in the form of numbers. Data Source used in this study is Secondary Data, Secondary data is research data obtained by researchers indirectly through intermediary media or obtained or recorded by researchers. There are 10 years of samples in this study then processed using Eviews 10 and analyzed using regression models and inferential statistics with four tests namely 1) Classic assumption test 2) Multiple linear regression analysis 3) Hypothesis test 4) Analysis of determination coefficients (R2).The results of the study obtained: Inflation partially positively influenced but not significant investment in Kupang City. GDP partially positively and significantly affects investment in Kupang City. Inflation and GDP simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on investment in Kupang. Determination Coefficient (R2) of 0.481726 means that 48% variable bound investment can be explained by inflation-free variable and GDP. While the remaining 51.83% was explained by other things that were not included in this study. For example, Interest rates and labor. With the results of this study, it is recommended for the kupang city government to continue to reduce the inflation rate so that inflation does not increase.
