Abstract

Thes research was conducted with the aim of: 1) to find out how the implementation of School Based Management in SMP Negeri 2 Amarasi Timur; 2) To determine the supporting and inhibiting factors for the implementation of School Based Management at SMP Negeri 2 Amarasi Timur; 3) to find out how a Management Basedsolution School at SMP Negeri 2 Amarasi Timur; This research is descriptive qualitative. Objects that studied is the implementation of Management Based Schools in SMP Negeri 2 Amarasi East. The subject of informants namely: Head of School, Teachers, and the committee and the elderly. Methods of data collection by observation, interviews and documents. The interactive data analysis model starts with data collection, data presentation, reduction, and conclusion drawing. Results of the study showed that: 1) Implementation of Management Based Schools in SMP Negeri 2 Amarasi East, carried out through five functions of management, namely planning, organizing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluation as wellas the principle basis of Management Based Educational namely independence, working together, participation, transparency and accountability. That these function have been carried out at SMP Negeri 2 Amarasi Timur; 2) The factors supporting is their role as well as from the public , both the old and committees in the activities of the scho,as well as all teachers meet the qualifications of academic. Factors inhibing is that learning the active, creative, effectively and Fun in need offunds, time, and nergy that much because a lot of things that need to be prepared, for its implementation. SolutionManagement Based Schools in SMP Negeri 2 Amarasi East their attention specifically on the government to improve the quality of education
