Abstract

Thesis title: The Effectiveness of Using Self Management Techniques through Group Guidance to improve Students' Learning Independence. The problems studied in this thesis are (1) Why self-management techniques through group guidance are used to increase students' learning independence, (2) What are the procedures for using selfmanagement techniques through group guidance to increase students' learning independence and (3) What are the uses of techniques self management through effective group guidance to increase the learning independence of students. The purpose of this study was to find out (1) the reasons for using self-management techniques through group guidance to increase students' learning independence, (2) procedures for using self-management techniques through group guidance to increase students' learning independence, and (3) the effectiveness of using self-management techniques. management through group guidance to increase student learning independence. The writing of this thesis uses the literature study method. The type of data used is qualitative data. The object of study in this thesis is self-management techniques, group guidance, and independent learning. The source of data used by the author is secondary data. The results of the study in this thesis indicate that selfmanagement techniques are one of the techniques that can be used in increasing the learning independence of students, because self-management techniques are a strategy to change behavior or habits by setting or monitoring the client himself using several strategies. in the form of self-monitoring exercises, stimulus control, and selfreinforcement. The procedure for using self-management techniques through group guidance to increase the independence of students' learning, this was proven in the previous research period. In this stage of group guidance activities, self-management techniques are applied which consist of four stages, namely the formation, transition, activity and termination stages. The results of the author's study on the use of selfmanagement techniques through group guidance to increase student learning independence. This is supported by articles from previous research which state that self-management techniques aim to make individuals able to carefully place themselves in situations that hinder the behavior they want to eliminate and learn to prevent unwanted behavior or problems from occurring. Based on the results of this writing, it is expected that (1) BK teachers will further improve their skills, apply self-management techniques through group guidance to increase students' learning independence, (2) for writers: through writing this thesis, the authors are expected to better understand and be skilled in using procedures self-management techniques through group guidance in order to solve the problem of learning independence of students.
