Abstract

Thesis title Profile of Student Adjustment and Its Implications for Information Services (Quantitative Descriptive Study of Class VIIIH Students of SMPN 1 Kefamenanu, North Central Timor Regency, Academic Year 2021/2022.). The problems in this study 1.) how is the adjustment profile of class VIIIH students at SMPN 1 Kefamenanu, North Central Timor Regency, for the 2021/2022 academic year? 2). What are the implications of the student's adjustment profile in Class VIIIH students of SMPN 1 Kefamenanu, North Central Timor Regency for the academic year 2021/2022 for information services?. The aim of the researcher is to find out 1.) the adjustment profile of class VIIIH students of SMPN 1 Kefamenanu, North Central Timor Regency, for the 2021/2022 academic year. 2.) Implications of student adjustment profile for class VIIIH SMPN 1 Kefamenanu, North Central Timor Regency for the academic year 2021/2022 for information services. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. The population and sample are students of class VIIIH SMPN 1 Kefamenanu for the academic year 2021/2022 with a total of 26 students as respondents. The data collection tool is in the form of a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used central trend analysis. The results of the research data analysis showed that the adjustment of students in class VIIIH SMPN 1 Kefamenanu in the 2021/2022 academic year with an average score of 181.03 was in the range of scores of 150-194, with a high category. The results of the analysis of each aspect show that the aspect of emotional maturity with an average score of 48 is in the range of scores of 40-51 in the high category, the aspect of intellectual maturity with an average score of 44.38 is between the range of scores of 39-50 in the high category. , aspects of social maturity with an average score of 42.3 are in the range of scores of 36-46 with the high category and aspects of moral maturity and responsibility with an average score of 46.96 are between the range of 39-50 with the high category. Based on the results obtained, the researchers gave some suggestions to: a) Principals are expected to maintain cooperation with Guidance Counseling teachers to implement the design of information service to improve students' adaptability. b). Guidance Counseling Teachers are expected to improve good cooperation with homeroom teachers and subject teachers in order to obtain information about students experiencing adjustment problems to be followed up in information service programs. c). Subject teachers are expected to increase collaboration with Guidance Counseling teachers to support information service programs so that students can adjust to school. d). For students to be able to take advantage of the information services provided by the guidance and counseling teachers in schools so that students gain knowledge and skills in information about self-adjustment.
