Abstract
The title of the thesis is "Identification of form Learning Difficulties for Class VIII Students of SMP Kristen Sion Kakuun Kabupaten Malaka for the 2021/2022 Academic Year". The problem in this study is which forms of learning difficulties are experienced by class VIII students at SMP Kristen Sion Kakuun Kabupaten Malaka in the 2021/2022 Academic Year. The purpose of this study was to determine the forms of learning difficulties experienced by class VIII students at SMP Kristen Sion Kakuun Kabupaten Malaka, in the 2021/2022 Academic Year. The type of research used is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The sample used is a population sample with a total of 31 class VIII students. The data collection tool used is a questionnaire with the Guttman scale. The data analysis technique used is descriptive percentage analysis. To determine the presence or absence of learning difficulties, a criterion guideline is used, there are two criteria used, namely, the respondent is in the "Yes" category (who has learning difficulties) if the percentage score is ≥50% (greater or equal to fifty percent) and the respondent is in the "No" category (no learning difficulties) if the percentage score is <50% (less than fifty percent). The results of the data analysis of the overall questionnaire items for the forms of student learning difficulties obtained a percentage of 55.64% and the criteria for experiencing learning difficulties. The results of data analysis based on the number of students, namely there are 17 experiencing learning difficulties, with a questionnaire percentage of ≥50%. The results of data analysis based on the forms of learning difficulties experienced by students, namely: Learning Disorder with a percentage of 65.80%, Learning Dysfunction with a percentage of 59.35%, Slowly Learner with a percentage of 60.64% and Under Achiever with a 50% percentage. Based on the results of the study, the researchers gave suggestions to; 1) Principal; expected to increase cooperation with all parties in the school, especially BK teachers to implement the design of guidance and counseling in overcoming the forms of learning difficulties experienced by students. 2) BK teacher; It is expected to increase good cooperation with homeroom teachers and subject teachers so that they can find solutions or ways out in overcoming the forms of learning difficulties experienced by students. 3) Subject teachers; is expected to increase cooperation with BK teachers to support the program of guidance and counseling services in resolving forms of learning difficulties experienced by students. 4) The students; are expected to be actively involved in the activities of guidance and counseling services carried out in schools to overcome the learning difficulties they face.
