The purposes of this study are 1) To find out the business description of women traders in rommbengan clothing in the Naikoten Inpres market. 2) To find out the contribution of women clothing traders in the form of income in improving the family economy before and during covid-19. 3) To find out the supporting and inhibiting factors in running a business as a women's clothing trader. The analytical method used is descriptive qualitative analysis. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of interviews, documentation and observation. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data with the research subject, namely women traders of ragged clothes at the Naikoten Inpres market, totaling 20 informants. The results of the study show that: (1) The situation of covid-19 has greatly impacted the contribution of women traders in ragged clothes in improving the family economy in the form of income and expenditure which is very inversely proportional to before covid-19. The average contribution of female clothing traders in improving the family economy before Covid-19 was in the form of a maximum income of IDR 6,000,000 and a minimum of IDR 2,000,000 per month. During COVID-19, the maximum income is IDR 950,000 and a minimum of IDR 300,000 per month. During Covid-19, the income is not enough to meet the needs. The average monthly expenditure before Covid-19 was a maximum of IDR 4,000,000 and a minimum of IDR 1,000,000. There are several supporting and inhibiting factors in carrying out their role as women clothing traders, where the supporting factors are the encouragement of economic needs, self-motivation, environmental encouragement, the number of enthusiasts, longer economic life, while the inhibiting factors are: reduced income, a lot of competition, lack of venture capital, lack of experience in trading and covid-19. The government is expected to pay more attention to selling facilities in the market, security, and carrying out control functions (monitoring public facilities) in the presence of COVID-19, sellers and buyers are expected to obey the government's advice.
