Abstract

Transportation is on of the important elements of an urban area. Transportation fascilitas have the potential to control the direction and magnitude of urban development so that transportation planning has a special position in an urban planning activity. One of the cases that hindered this case was the declining level of service in Kota Lama district, especially in education facilities with a pedestrian distance of less than 400m. This study aims to determine the pedestrian distance from the angkot waiting area to educational facilities that exceed the standard distance and the level of public transport services. This analysis uses a mapping survey method survey method using an application and the analysis methodis the result of a survey of the walking distance from the POI education angkot waiting area to the pedestrian distance standard in urban areas. Among the 37 educational facilities in Kota Lama district whose pedestrian distance from the angkot waiting area to the location of education exceed the standard distance, they are, SD Inpres Oeba 1,SMK Nusa Unggul, SD Inpres Bertingkat Oeba 5, SMP Taruna Karya, TK Kristen Tunas Bangsa, SD Inpres Bertingkat Perumnas 3, SD Inpres Perumnas 1, SD Inpres Perumnas 2, KB Damai Lestari, TK Asyiyah Busthanul Athfal II, TK Kristen Horeb Perumnas and the level of public transportation services in Kota Lama sub-district based on the index point of interest which is included in a good service level is Kelurahan Merdeka,Bonipoi, Solor and their educational facilities have an index value of < which means that public transportation services in the kelurahan are good. Meanwhile, the sub- district of Oeba, Airmata, Pasir Panjang, and Nefonaek get an index value of >1 so it can be concluded that the level of public transport services for educational facilities is not good and it is necessary to revise the hierarchy.
