Abstract
The condition of the road pavement in the city of Kupang is generally damaged before reaching the design life. This condition can be caused by various factors, including: workmanship, material quality, traffic load and environmental conditions. To improve the abrasion value, one way is to improve the quality of the mixture through substitution with several materials from different sources. River stone is a natural material in the form of boulders from rivers that have strong characteristics to face all possible weather conditions, both raining and scorching heat from the river. Besides that, coral reefs also include sedimentary or sedimentary rocks that have a fairly good level of weather resistance and are easy to find around islands and beaches that have higher seawater temperatures throughout the year so that they are easy to use as local ingredients in the Lataston mixture. The purpose of this research is to find out some compositions of river stone and rock materials that will be used for HRS-WC mixture. From the research conducted in the laboratory of the Public Works Office of East Nusa Tenggara Province, the following are the results of the study, the abrasion results for 100% coral reefs were 37.73% and 100% river stones were 26.09%. With the following variations for the composition of 50% rock and 50% river rock, it is 21.47%. From these variations that meet all Marshall parameters, namely the values of density, stability, flow, VIM, VMA, VFB, and MQ for the HRS-WC mixture.
