Abstract
In urban life, walking is an alternative mode that is very low-cost in reaching activity centers, especially with mixed-used conditions in the downtown area. The downtown area with mixed-used functions has a distance between adjacent functions, with close distances that will encourage users to reach different functions on foot (Surprenant, 2006). Walking in urban areas can be done with short distances (100-200 m), medium distances (200-400m), and long distances (> 400 m), the distance is considered based on a person's physical ability to travel and other needs related to pedestrian support facilities. foot. From this theory, the impact that will occur in unserved educational facilities is that there will be a long walking distance, therefore it is necessary to have good public transportation services so that all educational facilities can be served as a whole. Comparative analysis method of pedestrian survey results from bus stops to education against pedestrian distance standards in urban areas Point of Interest education. From 8 sub-districts in the Kota Raja sub-district, there is a distribution of educational facilities with a total of 50 schools ranging from kindergarten, elementary, junior high, and high school / vocational school. Among 50, 41 schools are in the buffer, the remaining 9 schools are outside the buffer area. The walking distance from the angkot waiting area to the educational facilities of 8 sub-districts in the Kota Raja sub-district is almost entirely well served, only 1 sub-district does not meet the standard requirements for transportation services. In general, namely in the Bakunase 2 sub-district, in that sub-district sub-district, all educational facilities are outside the buffer
