Abstract

This thesis is entitled: "Governance of the Youth and Sports Service in the Development of Football Athletes in Belu Regency". The main problem studied is what is the governance of the Youth and Sports Service in the Coaching of Football Athletes in Belu Regency?. The purpose of this study was to analyze and describe the governance of the Youth and Sports Service in the Coaching of Soccer Athletes in Belu Regency to improve the quality maintenance of the Youth and Sports Service Governance in the Coaching of Soccer Athletes in Belu Regency. This study uses theories from the Institute Of Corporate Governance and the Forum For Corporate Governance about the basic principles of the concept of good governance, namely: fairness, responsibility, transparency and accountability and PP Number 101 of 2000 concerning the principles of good governance, namely professionalism, accountability and transparency. . The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study are the professional aspect in the form of the Belu Regency Youth and Sports Office providing facilities for football athletes such as cards, flags, gym equipment and field conditions as well as various facilities to support the activities of the athletes. The accountability aspect in the form of participation by the Youth and Sports Office in terms of increasing the effectiveness, honesty and wisdom of decision makers regarding the interests of football athletes has not been good because the socialization is not carried out continuously so that the athletes are not satisfied and do not really understand. The transparency aspect in the form of the Youth and Sports Office has not been optimal in its disclosure regarding the provision of football equipment facilitation in Belu Regency. The conclusion from the research is that the Department of Youth and Sports has not been effective in facilitating infrastructure and the lack of supporting facilities for supporting training are incomplete, as well as the lack of openness about what is in the institution related to the athlete development process. The suggestion is that the Youth and Sports Office should focus more on building infrastructure and providing infrastructure for athletes and being more transparent to the public about the success of the program during socialization.
