Abstract
The main problem in this research is the result of applying How contextual learning or contextual approach to teaching and learning materials to learners Straight Motion class XC Sint Carolus Catholic High School? In detail, the issues in this research are: 1) How is the ability of teachers to manage learning by applying contextual learning approach to the material Straight Motion? 2) How Learning Outcome Indicators completeness physics class students XC Senior High School Chatolic Sint Carolus after application of contextual learning approach to the material Straight Motion? 3) How will the results of students learning physics class XC Senior High School Catholic Sint Carolus after application of contextual learning approach to the material Straight Motion? 4) How do learners respond XC Senior High School Catholic Sint Carolus class on learning to apply the learning approach contextual? Based on the formulation of the problem, the general purpose of this research is to describe the results of the application of contextual learning or contextual approach to teaching and learning materials to learners Straight Motion class XC Sint Carolus High School. In detail, the aims of this study were: 1) to describe the ability of teachers to manage learning by applying contextual learning approach to the material Straight Motion. 2) Describe the completeness of outcome indicators for students learning physics class XC Sint Carolus Catholic High School after application of contextual learning approach to the material Straight Motion. 3) Describe the student learning outcomes physics class XC High School Catholic Sint Carolus after application of contextual learning approach to the material Straight Motion. 4) Describe the response of the students class XC Sint Carolus Catholic High School on learning by applying contextual learning approach. This research is a descriptive study to the subject class of learners XC Sint Carolus Catholic High School in the school year 2015/2016, amounting to 23 people. The instrument used in this study was the observation sheet management approach learning with contextual learning, Learning Outcomes Test (THB), and form a response learners. The data analysis technique used is the analysis of the ability of teachers to manage learning, analysis of indicators of mastery learning outcomes of students, analysis of student mastery of learning outcomes, and analysis of student responses to the implementation of learning activities. From the results of the descriptive analysis found that the ability of teachers to manage learning by applying contextual learning approach (planning and implementation stage) was good, with the average score obtained respectively 3,61, 3,61 and 4,00. Learning Outcomes and Indicators mastery student learning outcomes as measured by test Learning Outcomes (THB). Based on the reference from the Department of Education, said students learn thoroughly if the proportion of correct answers learners ≥ 0.70. From the descriptive analysis, found that high school students classes XB Plus Reform increased learning achievement after participating in learning activities that apply contextual learning approach, with the proportion of IHB thoroughness of 0.80 and the proportion of correct answers of students increased by 0.60, ie of 0.28 at baseline to 0,88 for test final test. Students respond well to say if the score given to the students on the ability of teachers to implement learning activities that apply contextual learning approach ≥ 61%. From the descriptive analysis, found that the responses given high school students a class XC Sint Carolus Catholic High School is excellent for preliminary activities, core activities, closing activities, time management, and classroom climate with an average score given respectively was 84% , 85%, 80%, 89%, and 83%. Based on the above, it can be concluded that in general the application of contextual learning approach Straight Motion material can be applied to both learners class XC Sint Carolus Catholic High School the school year 2015/2016.
