Abstract
Research has been carried out on the effect of adding naturat zeolite from Manikin beach Kupang Regency to the concentration of makro nutrients in POC of vegetable waste. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the addition of natural zeolite on the concentration of macronutrients N, P, K and C-organic in the POC of vegetable waste. POC making is done by fermentation process for 28 days. The POC materials used were vegetable waste, molasses, effective microorganism 4 (EM4) and natural zeolite as a variation of POC. The size of the zeolite used is 100 mesh. After the fermentation process, the mass of zeolite in POC was added with variations in the mass of zeolite 20 g in 80 g (P1), zeolite mass 30 g in 70 g (P2), zeolite mass 40 g in 60 g (P3) and POC without zeolite as a control ( P0). Furthermore, analysis of the macronutrient content of N, P, K and C-organic in the POC was carried out. The results showed that variations in the addition of zeolite affect the nutrient content of N, P, K and C-organic in POC. This can be seen from the analysis results obtained, at P1 the concentration of N, P, K and C-organic respectively was 19.6%; 1.23%; 0.195 and 9.38%, at P2 the concentrations of N, P, K and C-organic were 16.8%, respectively; 1.57%; 0.16% and 9.30%, P3 obtained concentrations of N, P, K and C-organic respectively 7%; 1.11%; 0.12% and 8.51% and the concentration of POC content without the addition of zeolite concentrations of N, P, K and C-organic respectively 11.20%; 0.52%; 0.12% and 10.90%. The highest nutrient content was found in the P1 treatment.
