Abstract

The central issue in this study is whether there is a significant difference in learning achievement of students using learning model Realistic matematics Education (RME) and conventional learning on the subject of the sub-class VII fractional arithmetic operations SMPK Virgo Fidelis Maumere Academic Year 2014 / 2015.Tujuan this study is to determine whether or not there are differences in learning achievement applying the learning model Realistic matematics Education (RME) and conventional learning on the subject of the sub-class VII fractional arithmetic operations SMPK Maumere Virgo Fidelis School Year 2014/2015. Type of research is quantitative research with experimental methods. population in this research is all class VII, amounting to 5 classes, sampling classes using simple random sampling technique. obtained with this technique as a class A class VII and VII D experiment as a control class. There are two types of data in this study that the data pretest to determine the ability of both the sample and the data beginning posttes to determine whether or not there are differences in achievement in the experimental classes and control classes. to analyze the data used SPSS for windows 16.0 and manual analysis for comparison. Results of statistical analysis of achievement test showed t = 6.76 > t table = 0.20017. based on the analysis of SPSS obtained significance value of 0.000
