Abstract
This study aims to determine: the influence of independent learning on mathematics achievement of sub subject of factorization form of algebra in the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 South Amanatun academic year 2014/2015 ; the effect of achievement motivation on mathematics achievement of sub subject of factorization form of algebra in the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 South Amanatun academic year 2014/2015; the influence of independent learning and achievement motivation on mathematics achievement of sub subject of the algebra factorization eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 South Amanatun academic year 2014/2015. The research is a quantitative study with statistical analysis techniques used are simple regression analysis and multiple regression analysis. The population in this study were all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 South Amanatun with research samples consisted of two classes were randomly drawn using simple random sampling technique (random class). Techniques of data collection using questionnaires and mathematics achievement tests that have been tested for validity and realibilitasnya. Before performing the statistical analysis, conducted testing requirements prior analysis that includes tests of normality, linearity, and multicollinearity. Data analysis was performed using SPSS 16.0 for windows and manual analysis as a comparison. Based on the data analysis showed that: (1) there is the influence of independent learning on mathematics achievement of sub subject of factorization form of algebra in the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 South Amanatun academic year 2014/2015 . This was evidenced by the value of t = 2.180 ≥ 1.670 , reject H0; (2) No effect of achievement motivation on mathematics achievement of sub subject of factorization form of algebra in the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 South Amanatun academic year 2014/2015 . This was evidenced by the value of t = 1.999 ≥ 1.670 , then H0 ; (3) there is the influence of independent learning and achievement motivation on mathematics achievement of sub subject of factorization form of algebra in the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 South Amanatun academic year 2014/2015 . This was evidenced by the value of F = 4.421 ≥ 3,15maka reject H0 . So the conclusion from this study is that there is the influence of independent learning and achievement motivation on mathematics achievement of sub subject of factorization form of algebra in the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 South Amanatun 2014/2015.
