Abstract
Thesis title: The Effectiveness of Using Self Control Techniques Through Group Counseling To Reduce Ditching Behavior. The problems in writing this thesis are 1) Why can self-control techniques through group counseling be used to reduce truant behavior at school? 2) What is the process of using self-control techniques through group counseling to reduce truant behavior? 3) is the use of self-control techniques through group counseling effective in reducing truant behavior at school? The purpose of writing this thesis is to 1) Know the reasons for using self-control techniques through group counseling to reduce students' truant behavior at school 2) Know the process of using self-control techniques through group counseling to reduce truancy behavior 3) Know the effectiveness of using self-control techniques through group counseling to reduce student truancy behavior at school. The method used in this paper is the method of literature study with deductive reasoning. The object of study in this thesis is self-control techniques and truant behavior. The data sources used by the author are secondary data sources in the form of books, articles and journals related to the author of this thesis. The type of data in this thesis is a type of qualitative data. The results of the discussion show that self-control techniques through group counseling are effective in reducing truant behavior because self-control techniques aim to control individual thoughts and actions so that actions are adjusted to the correct norms so that individuals can control emotions and be able to behave well. Self-control technique procedures through group counseling to reduce truant behavior through self-control technique steps consisting of self-recording, self-evaluation, and self-reinforcement. The effectiveness of self-control techniques through group counseling to reduce truancy behavior is supported by previous research articles.This study is expected to be used as reference material to deepen the knowledge, insight, and skills of readers in applying self-control techniquesthrough group counseling to reduce student truancy behavior at school. 2) Author,This study is expected to increase the author's knowledge, insight, and skills in applying the techniqueself controlthrough group counseling to reduce truancy behavior at school.
