Abstract

In a vocal ensemble or choir, balance and blend are a complete sound balance so that no individual singer's voice stands out. Sound balance and blend are very necessary in singing acapella vocal ensembles, and can be said to be an achievement to form beautiful vocal harmonies. Based on the results of observations made by researchers in the vocal group of SMA Negeri Maurole, the researchers found problems regarding unstable balance and blend in singing a song. To overcome this problem the researcher applied a cooperative learning model in the research process with the aim of increasing balance and blend in the anasai song model. The approach used is a qualitative technique to understand rational reality as a subjective reality, especially for school members. The method used in this research is field action by collecting data through literature studies, field studies, observation techniques, interview techniques and documentation techniques. The results showed that the balance and blend of the voices of Maurole State High School students in singing the ana sai song were able to achieve complete sound harmonization and balance. This is evidenced by the final percentage of the participants. Thus it can be concluded that efforts to improve balance and blend techniques in acapella vocal ensembles in the anasai song model, students are able to place their voices in a balanced way.
