Abstract

Music production allows music artists to gain added value to their works. By producing music, the work of artists, especially songwriters, can be enjoyed by many people throughout Indonesia and even throughout the world. DAW Studio One is one of the easiest music production software to learn. The features are quite easy to understand and comprehend, so learning music production using DAW Studio One is the right way. The problem of this research is how to use DAW Studio One for SMAK Tunas Gloria Sikumana students and what the production results are using DAW Studio One. The purpose of this research is to determine the use of DAW Studio One for SMAK Tunas Gloria students and to find out the results of music production using DAW Studio One. This research is qualitative, the research method used is the field action method. Data collection techniques utilize literature studies and field studies through observation, interviews and documentation. The learning method used in this study is the exploratory method. The results of the research show that the process of using DAW Studio One with 3 students and carried out in 8 meetings began with an introduction to the tools used in the music production process, the guide recording process and the musical instruments drums, bass, guitar, keyboard, and strings as well as vocals. Then the process of mixing and mastering the recording results. The last stage was followed by the process of producing music independently by Tunas Gloria SMAK students. The final result of this research is that each participant was able to produce music using DAW Studio One quite well, although there were difficulties, but they could be overcome by using the exploration method.
