Abstract

Thesistitle : profile of the use social media for class XII IPS 2 students at SMA Negeri 4 Kupang City for the 2022/2023 academic year and the implication for the tutoring program. The formulation of the research problem : 1) How is the profile of the use of social media for students in class XII IPS 2 SMA Negeri 4 Kupang City for 2022/2023 academic year. 2) what are the implication of using social media for students of class XII IPS 2 students at SMA Negeri 4 Kupang City in the academic year 2022/2023 for the tutoring program. The purpose of this research : 1) Profile of use social media for class XII IPS 2 students of SMA Negeri 4 Kupang City for the academic year 2022/2023 . 2) Implications of the use of social media for class XII IPS 2 students at the SMA Negeri 4 Kupang City for the acadeic year 2022/2023 for tutoring program. The method in this study used a quantitative descriptive method with tool in the form of a students delinquency. The population and sample of this study were student in the class XII IPS 2 students of SMA Negeri 4 Kupang City for the academic year 2022/2023 with a sample of 30 student. The data analysis technique used is central tendency analysis. The research analysis showed that the averange score of students use of social media profiles was 123.65, which was batween the range of scores from 123 to 159, including the high category. This means that class XII IPS 2 SMA Negeri Kupang City students have an interst in using social media well to make friends and get information obtainet from social media. The results of the analysis of each aspect show that the attention aspect with an average score of 30,76 in the range of an average score of 30-38 is in the high category, the appreciation aspect with an average score of 29,36 in the opposition score of 27-34 is in the high category, the duration aspect with an average score of 28,70 in the range of scores 27-34 is in the high category, the frequency aspect with an averange score of 34,85 in the range of scores 26-36 is in the low category. Based on the results obtained in this study, the researcher provides suggestions to : a) Principals are xi expected to continue to maintain and increase cooperation with guidance counselor, facilitate and support the entire design of the tutoring program in schools so that it is implemented properly in order to maintain students use of social media b) Counseling guidance teachers are expected to increase good cooperation with homeroom teachers and subject teachers so they can obtain information about students who experience problems using social media to continue in study guidance c ) Students are expected to actively take advantage tutoring program activities carried out in school, in order to make good use of social media.
