Abstract
Lian sina is one of the many lian namang songs commonly sung to accompany the namang dance and also the gawe alo dance ini Lewokluok village. The lian sina song is sung together and accompanied by gong and gendang instruments. Based on the results of observations and interviews with young people, the author obtained information on the assumption that the song lian sina is outdated so that young people prever modern songs. The main problem in this research is how the presentation form and what is the meaning and function of lian sina song in Leokluok village, Demon Pagong sub-district, East Flores district. This research aims to analyze the function and meaning of lian sina song and its presentation form. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive approach and using the field action method (naturalistic and natural). Data collection techniques are literature study, observation, interview, and documentation. The subjects of this research are three traditional leaders who know about lian sina singing. The stages in this research are setting informants, conducting interviews, asking questions, documentation and analyzing the results of interviews. The results showed that each verse in the lian sina song has a meaning of life motivation and expression of heart content and fortitude in life. Based on the results of the research, it is concluded that the function of the lian sina song is to accompany the namang and gawe alo dances and the meaning of the lian sina song itself is a form of expression of the contents of the heart and life motivation.
