Abstract

The objectives to be achieved in this research are 1) To determine the teacher's ability to manage learning by applying a discovery learning approach to reaction rate material in class XI IPA Sint Carolus Kupang students in the 2023/2024 academic year, 2) To determine students' interest in learning by applying the discovery learning approach to reaction rate material in class Natural Science Sint Carolus Kupang academic year 2023/2024, 3) To find out student learning outcomes by applying a discovery learning approach to the reaction rate material in class XI IPA Sint Carolus Kupang students in the 2023/2024 academic year, 4) To determine the relationship between interest and learning outcomes in learning that applies the discovery learning approach to reaction rate material in class XI IPA Sint Carolus Kupang students in the 2023/2024 academic year. The type of research used is quantitative research. The sample in this research was 22 students of class XI Science Sint Carolus Kupang. Based on data analysis from the research results, it can be concluded as follows: 1) The teacher's ability to apply the discovery learning model on reaction rate material to class and 98.5% reliability, 2) Students' interest in learning by using a learning model that applies a discovery learning approach to reaction rate material in class XI IPA students at SMAK Sint Carolus Kupang for the 2023/2024 academic year included in the good category, with an average presentation of 77%, 3) Student learning outcomes using a learning model that applies a discovery learning approach to reaction rate material for class XI IPA students at SMAK Sint Carolus Kupang for the 2023/2024 academic year classified as complete, with an average score of 87, 4) The relationship between interest and learning outcomes in learning that applies the discovery learning approach to reaction rate material in class XI IPA students at SMAK Sint Carolus Kupang for the 2023/2024 academic year is that there is a significant relationship between interest and student learning outcomes with a correlation coefficient r = 0.36 so that ttable = 2.085, and tcount ≤ ttable or 1.66 ≤
