Abstract
The Paha Hope Dance is a new dance creation that originates from Lamaholot culture, especially in Bukit Seburi II West Adonara Village, East Flores Regency. This dance is based on the true story of the life of Adonara women in carrying out their duties as housewives and this dance was created from the traditional process of proposing to Lamaholot culture. . This dance actually has very noble values, but not all people have a good understanding. The problems in this research are 1) what is the form of the Paha Hope Dance created by the students of Seburi Valley Middle School in Bukit Seburi II Village, West Adonara, East Flores Regency?; 2) What values are contained in the Paha Hope Dance created by the students of Lembah SMPN in Bukit Seburi II Village, West Adonara, East Flores Regency? This research aims to 1) describe the form of the Thigh Hope Dance created by students of Lembah Seburi Middle School in Bukit Seburi II Village, West Adonara, East Flores Regency; 2) identify the values contained in the Paha Hope Kreasi Dance danced by Seburi Valley Middle School Students in Bukit Seburi II Village, West Adonara, East Flores Regency. This research uses an ethnographic method with a qualitative approach. Research data was collected using observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the research show that 1) the Paha Hope Dance form has 13 types of movements, a horizontal floor pattern, using musical accompaniment in the form of singing and musical instruments in the form of drums, nok-nok made of bamboo, beer bottles and spoons. Dancers wear traditional Adonara clothing with traditional style hair make-up and the men's properties include tusks, machetes and knobs; Women use property in the form of baskets, nyiru, mortar and pestle, pottery, stones. ; 2) The Paha Hope Dance contains cultural values, educational values, social values, togetherness values, and aesthetic values. Based on the research results, the author hopes that the people of Bukit Seburi II Village will have a high awareness of continuing to preserve the Paha Hope Dance created by them.
