Abstract

Thesis Title: Social Competence Profile of Guidance and Counseling Teachers in Providing Guidance and Counseling Services at State Junior High School 11 Kupang City according to the perception of Subject teachers in the 2024/2025 academic year. The problem being investigated is: How is the Social Competence Profile of Guidance and Counseling teachers in Providing guidance and counseling Services at State Junior High School 11 Kupang City according to the perception of Subject teachers in the 2024/2025 academic year? The purpose of the study was to determine: Social Competence of guidance and counseling Teachers in Providing Guidance and Counseling Services at State Junior High School 11 Kupang City according to the perception of Subject teachers. The method used in this study quantitative descriptive and the data collection tool as questionnaire on the social competence of guidance and counseling teachers. The research data analysis technique uses the central tendency formula. The results of the research data analysis that the average profile score of 136 is between the score range of 126– 158, including the very high category. It can be concluded that the Guidance and Counseling teachers of State Junior High School 11 Kupang City for the 2024/2025 academic year have very good social competence in organizing guidance and counseling services. Based on the results of the research data analysis as described, the researcher submits suggestions to the following parties: a) The principal as the person in charge at the school is expected to increase support by providing facilities that support the process of organizing guidance and counseling services so that the guidance and counseling teachers at the school can carry out their duties optimally. b) BK teachers: are expected to maintain their excellent performance in organizing guidance and counseling services. c) Researchers: This research can be used as input for researchers as prospective guidance and counseling teachers in developing the social skills needed in organizing guidance and counseling services at schools.
