Abstract

This research is entitled Profile of Academic Stress of Class IX Students of Adisucipto Catholic Junior High School Kupang in the 2024/2025 academic year and its Implication for Tutoring. The problems of this research are: (1) What is the academic stress profile of ninth grade students of Adisucipto Catholic Junior High School Kupang in the 2024/2025 academic year? (2) What are the implications of the academic stress profile of ninth grade students of Adisucipto Catholic Junior High School Kupang in the 2024/2025 academic year for the tutoring program? The purpose of this study was to determine (1) the academic stress profile of ninth grade students of Adisucipto Kupang Catholic Junior High School in the 2024/2025 academic year, and (2) the implications of the academic stress profile of ninth grade students of Adisucipto Kupang Catholic Junior High School in the 2024/2025 academic year for the tutoring program. The variable of this study is academic stress. The sample was 45 students. The data analysis technique used was central tendency analysis. Based on the results of data analysis, the average score of academic stress is 105, which is in the range of 100-129 and is included in the high category. These results indicate that in general students experience high levels of academic stress/pressure. Based on the results of the study, it is suggested to: 1) School Principals, are expected to facilitate counseling programs that support student stress reduction 2) BK teachers, are expected to design group or classical guidance services that focus on handling academic stress 3) Students, are expected to be more sensitive to signs of stress and proactively seek help and participate in BK programs such as tutoring.
