Abstract
The Influence of Learning Styles on the Learning Achievement of Class X Students at SMA Katolik Giovanni Kupang for the Academic Year 2024/2025.** The problem addressed in this study is whether there is an influence of learning styles on the learning achievement of Class X students at SMA Katolik Giovanni Kupang for the academic year 2024/2025. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of learning styles on the academic performance of Class X students at SMA Katolik Giovanni Kupang for the academic year 2024/2025. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative research. The variables in this study are the independent variable of learning styles (X) and the dependent variable of learning achievement (Y). The population of the study consists of 344 Class X students, and the sample comprises 66 students. The sampling technique employed is simple random sampling. Data collection tools include a learning style questionnaire and document studies. The data analysis technique used in this research is simple linear regression. The research results indicate that: 1) the t-value thitung > ttabel (2.587 > 1.669) with significance (0.002 < 0.05), and the value Fhitung > Ftabel (3.994 > 3.991) with significance (0.560 > 0.05). These results prove that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, indicating that there is an influence of learning styles on the academic achievement of Class X students at SMA Katolik Giovanni Kupang for the academic year 2024/2025. The coefficient of determination test shows an R Square value of 0.115, indicating that the influence of learning styles on students’ academic achievement is 11.5%. Based on the research findings, the researcher recommends: a) The school principal is expected to enhance their role as a leader and coordinator to effectively guide all school personnel in collectively assisting students in understanding their learning styles. b) Subject teachers can apply various teaching methods that align with students’ learning styles to significantly improve their academic performance. c) Guidance counselors should provide information services regarding learning styles so that students can maximize their learning processes by applying strategies that suit their learning styles for optimal learning outcomes. d) Students are encouraged to recognize their learning styles and apply them to better understand the lessons taught by their teachers. e) Future researchers are advised to consider other variables that may influence students’ academic performance to enhance the results of the coefficient of determination test and to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the factors affecting students’ academic achievement.
