Abstract

The purpose of this writing is to know the emotional intelligence and learning performance of students mathematics in learning.Emotional intelligence is a person’s ability to recognize, improve, manage, place, and control emotions and motivate themselves in being, acting and acting, both in themselves and in conjunction with others, in an effort to achieve a controlled or established goal.For the achievement of student learning achievements in the success of learning influenced by many factors, one factor is the level of intelligence. In this case, the learning process has a strong influence on the low level of student’s learning achievement. Based on the results of theoretical reviews that have been conducted, it can be concluded that emotional intelligence is one of the important factors that should be owned by studentswho have the need to achieve better learning achievement in school while learning achievement is the result of a student's learning effort in the form of a skill from learning activities in the academic field at school for a certain period that is recorded at the end of each semester in the evidence report called report card.
