Abstract

The title of the thesis is the effectiveness off applying self-management techiniques through group guidance services to teduce aggressive behavior. The problems studied in this study are : 1) Why are self-managament techiniques through group guidance applyed to reduce students aggressive behavior ? 2) What is the procedure for applying self-management techniques through group guidance services self-management to reduce students’ aggressive behavior? 3) Is the application of self-management techniques through group guidance services effective in reducing students’ aggressive behavior? The purpose of this study is to find out: 1) the reasons applying self-management techniques through group guidance services to reduce students’ aggressive behavior? 2) the procedure for applying self-management techniques through group guidance services to reduce students’ aggressive behavior? 3) the effectiveness of the application of self-management techniques through group guidance services to reduce student aggressive behavior. This research uses literature study method. The object of the study is self-management techniques, group guidance and student aggressive behavior. Sources of data used are secondary data sources. The type of data used is qualitative data. The results of the discussions are as follows, self-management techniques through group guidance services can reduce student aggressive behavior because self-management techniques in gudance and counseling that aim to help clients change negative behavior and develop positive behavior by observing them selves, noting certain behaviors, (thoughts, feelings, and actions) and their interactions whit environmental events. The procedure for applying self-management techniques through group guidance services to reduce student aggressive behavior is carried oud through the stages of group guidance, namely the formtion, transition, activity, and termination stages. At the stage of group guidance activties, the counselor applies the steps for implementing the self-management strategy, selecting responsens, recording responsens, showing data,and analiyzing data. The effectiveness of applying self management techniques through group guidance services to reduce student aggressive behavior is evidanced by research articles from Nabila (2020) and Setiani (2017). Based on the results of the studies above the researchers give suggestions to; 1) BK teacher are expected to deepan their knowledge, unders standing, regarding the application of self-management techniques through group guidance to reduce student aggressive behavior, 2) Researchers are expected to increase their knowledge, undestanding and skills in applying self-management techniques through group guidance to reduce aggressive behavior
