Abstract
Thesis title: Profile of students Emotional Intelegence and its implications for Personal Guidence Programs (Quantitative Descriptive Study Of Class XI MIA 1 Students at SMA Negeri 2 Tasifeto Barat, Belu Regrency, Academic Year 2021/2022). The problems of this research are 1) What is the profile of the emotional intellegence of students in class XI MIA 1 SMA Negeri 2 Tasifeto Barat, Belu Regrency, for the academic year 2021/2022? 2) What are the implications of the emotional intellegence profile for the rest of class XI MIA 1 SMA Negeri 2 Tasifeto Barat, Belu Regrency for the academic year for the personal tutoring program. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method and a data collection tool in the form of a questionarire. Data analysis technique with the central tendency formula. The sample of the research it the students of class XI MIA 1 SMA Negeri 2 Tasifeto Barat, Belu Regrency, for the academic year 2021/2022 as many as 24 people. The results of the research data analysis showed that the average emotional intellegence of students was 108 in the range of 86-111 and included in the high category. It can be concluded that students of class XI MIA 1 SMA Negeri 2 Tasifeto Barat, Belu Regrency have high emotional intellegence. Meaning that class XI MIA 1 students at SMA Negeri 2 Tasifeto Barat in the academic Year 2021/2022 have the abilityt regognize emotions that is in him, able to manage emotions both positive and negative, able to motivate himself, be empatheic towards others and able to build good relationships with others. However, there are still things that need attention and strengthening. Based on the results analysis of research data described above, the researcher proposes suggestions to related parties: 1) The principal as the person in charge of the school is expected to increase support by providing facilities that support the guidence and counseling teachers in schools carry out their duties optimally. 2) Guidence and Counseling teachers are expeted to continuosly provide motivation and reinforcement to students in order to maintain their emotional intellegence. 3) Students are expected to be more active in participating in personal guidence activites provided at school at maintain their emotional intellegence.
