Abstract

Music ensemble games are one of the teaching materials in first-level secondary schools. SMP Negeri 4 Wolowaru as one of the formal institutions in it has arts or cultural arts subjects, but the students have not been taught pianica instrument ensemble games.The problem in this study is how the efforts to apply pianika ensemble music games in the Ai Na Mu Be song model use the drill method in class VIII students who are interested in music at SMP Negeri 4 Wolowaru, Wolojita District, Ende Regency. The purpose of this study is to determine the learning process of pianika ensemble music in class VIII students interested in music at SMP Negeri 4 Wolowaru through the drill method.This research is qualitative. The method used is field action and the data in this study are obtained through observation, interviews and documentation.The results showed that efforts to apply the pianika ensemble music game in the Ai Na Mu Be song model using the drill method in class VIII students of SMP Negeri 4 Wolowaru, Wolojita District, Ende Regency, were carried out through a process that began with a theoretical explanation of the pianika ensemble followed by practice playing etude-etude, then introduction and practice of the model song part by part and practice of the model song as a whole. As an end of the learning of the pianika ensemble the students were given the opportunity to present the results of their games in class. Based on the results of this study, it was concluded that although in the learning process there were obstacles experienced by students, they could be overcome through repeated practice so that they could play model songs properly and correctly.
