Abstract

Nowadays, the keyboard is one of the most popular musical instruments. This musical instrument the source of the sound comes from electrical power. In order for keyboard games to be enjoyed more, there are many ways that can be used, one of which is by implementing Bridge Chord. Bridge Chord, also called chord link, is a chord that connects one chord (the first chord) to the next (intended chord). The Bridge Chord serves as an embellishment between the basic chords of the song, so that the songs sound harmonious and varied. The application of the Bridge Chord when accompanying the song has not been fully carried out by an accompaniment including the organizer at GBI Sesawi Kupang. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the process of applying the Bridge Chord to the Prayer Song Model Changes Everything Using the Imitation and Drill Method for the youth of GBI Sesawi Kupang Keyboard Interest. The purpose of this study is to know and understand the application of Bridge Chord to the Prayer Song Model to Change Everything Using the Imitation and Drill Method for young people interested in the Kupangwiwi GBI Keyboard. This research is qualitative with the method used, namely field actions. Data collection techniques use literature studies and field studies through observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the process of applying Bridge Chord to the keyboard game of the song Prayer Changing Everything basic tone C Major was carried out through several stages starting from the practice of charting, then followed by the practice of trinada, continued to explain and practice playing Bridge Chord, then the application of basic chords and Bridge Chords on songs part by part, then the basic game of chords and Bridge Chord on the song as a whole. In the final stage, the participants played the full model of the song from the intro to the end of the song by staging and taking the final video of the result. Based on the results of the research above, it can be concluded that the application of Bridge Chord to keyboard games using imitation and drill methods is quite effective in improving the skills of GBI Sesawi Kupang Youth.
