Abstract

The formulation of the problem of this research is 1) How much is the income of grabbike female driver services compared to the NTT province UMP in 2019? 2) what are the inhibiting factors and support for grabbike services for female drivers in Kupang city. The purpose of this study is 1) To analyze the income of grabbike female driver services compared to the NTT provincial UMP in 2019 2) To find out the inhibiting factors and support for grabbike female driver services in Kupang City. This study uses a qualitative descriptive analysis tool. The data in this study are primary data obtained from the results of interviews with questionnaires conducted on grabbike drivers in the city of Kupang with a sample of 20 informants and secondary data obtained from previous research journals regarding online transportation. Research results show that female drivers grabbike at Kupang City, which has a smaller income from the NTT provincial UMP in 2019, has 7 informants with a range of income from Rp. 700.000,- up to Rp. 1.500.000,- while drivers who earn more income from the NTT provincial UMP in 2019 are 13 informants with a range of income from Rp.2.000.000,- to Rp.6.000.000,- the amount of income affected by the distribution pattern of grabbike bases in the city of Kupang is random, spreading around activities centers which include economic and shopping centers, education centers and health centers. Furthermore, working hours and work experience have an influence on driver grabbike income in Kupang City. Because of flexible working hours and relative work experience. As for the inhibiting factors for informants as driver grabbike in Kupang, namely status, lack of playing time with children faster feeling tired because of double work (inside and outside the house), lack of family approval, often getting male passengers who canceled orders, there were passengers who mistakenly entered location ponts,etc. Supporting factors for informants as driver grabbike in Kupang city, which included there was also support from the family, free working hours made drivers not bound by time, place strategic base near the center of the city makes many drivers get orders. Base on the results of the study it is recommended that grabbike and grab company drivers improve their service quality better and further improve the security of drivers and passengers and for women to become grabbike drivers because give income that promises because of the average income above the UMP.
