Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is influence of self-concept and independence of learning to the achievement of learning mathematics on the subject of Circumference and Area of Class VIII SMPNegeri12 Kupang academic year 2017/2018 which amounted to 24 people. The data used in this research is the data of the achievement of learning and questionnaire / questionnaire. The data obtained were analyzed using SPSS version 22 program. Prior to hypothesis testing, prerequisite test was performed on normality test for achievement data and questionnaire or questionnaire. In this case if the calculation results show significant (2-tailed) 0,05 then H0 is accepted, thus it is concluded that the data is normally distributed. From self confidence questionnaire data, the value of Asymp Sig (2-tailed) = 0,200> 0,05, then H0 is received and from the learning independence questionnaire data, the value of Asymp Sig (2-tailed) = 0,200> 0,05 then H0 is received thereby concluded normal distributed data. Multiple linear regression equation from result of research that is Y = - 19,152 + 2,211 X1 + 1,215 X2.Hypothesis test using partial test, after self concept data is analyzed obtained tcount = 7,668 ≥ 1,717 = ttabeldan significant value at self concept = 0,00 3,44 = Ftable then receive H0. So it is concluded there is a significant influence self-concept and self reliance learning on mathematics learning achievement of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 12 Kupang academic year 2017/2018.
