Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is influence of learning motivation and learning habits on the ability of mathematical connections of students in SMA Negeri 3 Kupang 2017/2018 academic year which amounted to 43 people. The data used in this research is the data value of students' mathematical connection test and questionnaire. The data obtained were analyzed using SPSS version 22 program. Prior to hypothesis testing, the prerequisite test was tested for normality data for students' mathematical connection ability and questionnaire or questionnaire. In this case if the calculation results show significant (2-tailed) 0.05 then H0 is accepted, thus it is concluded that the data is normally distributed. From the questionnaire data of learning motivation, the value of Asymp Sig (2-tailed) = 0,200> 0,05, then H0 is received and from the questionnaire data of learning hab obtained by Asymp Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,200> 0,05 then H0 is accepted thereby concluded normal distributed data. Multiple linear regression equation from result of research that is Y = 57,491 + 0,471 X1 + 0,579 X2 Hypothesis test using partial test, after the data of learning motivation was analyzed obtained tcount = 2,176 ˃ 1,682 = ttable and significant value on learning motivation = 0,036 3,23 = Ftable then receive H0. So concluded there is a significant influence of learning motivation and learning habits of the ability of mathematics connections of students of class XI SMA Negeri 3 Kupang academic year 2017/2018.
