Abstract
The Objective of this study is to determine whether there is effect of discovery learning model on mathematics learning achievement of students vocational high school health. The sample in this study is the students of class 10.1 SMK Health Foundation Cartintes Atambua which amounths to 25 people. The data used in this study is the data pretest and posstest value of the experiment class with the discovery learning model. Data was analyzed using SPSS version 22.0 . Prior to hypothesis testing, prerequisite test is tested normality for pretest and posttest data. The data obtained from the preetest analysis result was. (2 − ) = 0.105 > 0.05 and = 0.15 < 0,264 =, Thens H0 is accepted and the conclusion is that the data is normally distributed.. While the data obtained from the posttest was. (2 − ) = 0.135 >0.05 and = 0.15 < = 0.264 ,Then H0 is accepted and the conclusion is that the data is normally distributed Hypothesis testing using a paired sample test, after the data were analyzed the result was, (2 − ) = 0.000 < 0.05 and = 19,04 > 2.064 = , then H0 rejected so it is concluded that there is a significant effect of discovery learning model on mathematics learning achievement of student vocational high school health. The results of this study indicated that the discovery learning model effect the students mathematics learning achievement . Therefore, the authors suggest for teachers to use the discovery learning model on classroom learning in accordance with the material to be taught.
