Abstract

Guided inquiry approach is one type of inquiry that approach in the learning process of science, because with guided inquiry approach learners are trained to seek and find their own problems to be studied on the guidance of teachers. Thus, learners are not easily confused and did not fail because in the search or find a problem in accordance with the procedure or questions prepared teachers. The main problem in this research is how the application of guided inquiry approach to the subject matter of Enterprise and Energy learners VIIIC class semester of SMP Negeri 6 Kupang? Specifically, this problem can be formulated as follows: 1) How does a teacher's ability to manage the learning activities with guided inquiry approach to the subject matter of effort and energy? 2) How completeness indicators of learning outcomes by applying guided inquiry approach to the subject matter of effort and energy? 3) How does the study of students in the learning approach guided inquiry on the subject matter of effort and energy? 4) How is the response of students to the implementation of learning activities with guided inquiry approach to the subject matter of effort and energy? The main objective of this research is to describe the approach of guided inquiry on the subject matter and Energy Enterprises learners kelasVIIIC semester of SMP Negeri 6 Kupang. Specifically, the purpose of this research is 1) Describe the teacher's ability to manage the learning activities with guided inquiry approach to the subject matter of effort and energy. 2) Describe the completeness indicator learning outcomes by applying guided inquiry approach to the subject matter of effort and energy. 3) Describe the learning outcomes of students in the learning approach guided inquiry on the subject matter and Energy Enterprises. 4) Describe the response of students to the implementation of learning activities with guided inquiry approach to the subject matter of effort and energy. This type of research is descriptive study and research subjects are teachers (researcher) and VIIIC grade students of SMP Negeri 6 Kupang academic year 2016/2017, amounting to 18 people. Learning device used is the teaching materials learners (BAPD), syllabus, lesson plan (RPP), worksheets learners (LKPD). Research data collection techniques are observation, tests and questionnaires. While the instruments used in this study is the observation sheet managing learning with guided inquiry approach the subject matter of Enterprise and Energy, achievement test (THB) and form a response learners. Data analysis technique of this research is descriptive analysis by calculating average values, percentages, and proportions. Based on the results of the descriptive analysis of the data showed that the general implementation of guided inquiry approach is good for the subject matter of Enterprises and Energy on VIIIC grade students of SMPN 6 Kupang, amounting to 18 people. In detail obtained teacher's ability to manage learning physics subject matter Enterprise and Energy that includes lesson planning, implementation and evaluation of learning of learning is optimal. Indicators of learning outcomes prepared eleven indicators of products, all of them completely. The study of students in a class is said to be complete in aspects of the product, affective and psychomotor as well as the responses of learners to study the implementation of the activities performed by the teacher is very good.
