Abstract

Research title: Profile of career planning and its implications for career information (quantitative descriptive study of class IXA students of SMP Negeri Sadi Atambua in the academic year 2022/2023). Researc problem: a) What is the career planning profile of class IXA students at SMP Negeri Sadi Atambua in the 2022/2023 academic year? b) What are the implication of career planning profile for students of class IXA students at SMP Negeri Sadi Atambua in the 2022/2023 for career information. The Method used in this research is descriptive quantitative and data collection tool in the form of a questionnaire. The result of the research data analyisis show that the average career planning profile of class IXA students is 176,9667, which is between the scores of 165-203 and is classified as high category. The result of research data analyisis for each aspect of career planning for class IXA students are as follows: aspect of knowledge and self-understanding an average score of 61,7000 includes the high category, aspect of knowledge and understanding of the world of work an average score of 62,1666 is included in the high category, and aspects of the ability to choose career goals with an average score of 60,8000 including the high category. Based on the results of the research data analysis as described above, the researcher proposessuggestions to the relevant parties: a) Principals: it is expected to increase cooperation with guidance and counseling teachers, facilitate and support all career information service programs in school so that they are carried out properly in order to maintain good student career planning. b) guidance and counseling teachers: are expected to design and develop career guidance service programs that are more responsive to fire in order to maintain students career planning that is already good. c) Students: are expected to actively utilize the career guidance services provided by guidance and counselingteachers to maintain their good career planning
