Abstract

Process Skill Approach is understood as a concept or a guide to develop intellectual, social and physical skills that originated from the basic abilities that have existed in the inner self of the students even though the intended ability potentially is still in the process of development. The main problem in this research is how the Application Result of Process Skill Approach of Calor Main Subject on The Uneven Semesteral Students Class X B of Saint Rafael Seminary High School Oepoi Kupang .in The Year 2013/2014 is. Specifically, the problems of this research are: (1) How is the teacher‟s competency in managing teaching and learning process in the implementation of Process Skill Approach? (2) How is the completeness of the learning result indicators (IHB) in the implementation of Process Skill Approach? (3) How is the physics learning result of calor main subject in the implementation of the Process Skill Approach? (4) How do the students respond to the application of the Process Skill Approach? The objective of the study is to describe the application result of the process skill approach of calor main subject for the uneven semesteral students class X B of Saint Rafael Seminary High School Oepoi Kupang .in The Year 2013/2014. Specifically, the objectives of this study are: (1) to describe the teacher‟s competency in managing the teaching and learning process in the application of the Process Skill Approach. (2) to describe the completeness of the Learning Result Indicators (IHB) in the application of the Process Skill Approach. (3) To describe the learning result of Calor main subject in the implementation of the Process Skill Approach. (4) To describe the students‟ respond in the teaching and learning process to the application of the Process Skill Approach. This is a descriptive research. The subject of the research is the Uneven Semesteral Students Class XB of Saint Rafael Seminary High School Oepoi Kupang in the year 2013/2014. The number of students is 24 from Class XB. To collect the data, the researcher used these techniques: observation, test, and questionnaire. For the instruments, the researcher used Physics Syllabus, Lesson Plan, Students‟ Worksheet, Students‟ Teaching Material and Test Result Learning Lattice. The researcher then made a descriptive analyzes which included computation of average score, proportion, and percentage. Based on the descriptive analyzes, the result data showed that The Application of Process Skill Approach of Calor Main Subject on the Uneven Semesteral Students Class XB of Saint Rafael Seminary High School Oepoi Kupang. In the Year 2013/2014 is at the good level.
