Abstract

The principal problem in this research is to compare the students Mathematics achievement that learn by the model of cooperative learning Think Pair Share type, that learned by the model conversional learning on the principal arrangement “ the form operation of Algebra on grade VIII, One semester in SMP Kristen 1 Amanuban Barat academic year 2013 / 2014. The aim of this research is to compare the students Mathematics achievement that learn by the model of cooperative learning Think Pair Share type, that learned by the model conversional learning on the principal arrangement “ the form operation of Algebra on grade VIII, one semester in SMP Kristen 1 Amanuban Barat academic year 2013/2014. The kinds of research that using in this research is cooperative research. There are some steps to get the date, that is: 1. Make arrangement for lesson plan. 2. Make arrangement for test question of learning achievement. 3. Give pretest. 4. Give lesson material (handout) 5. Give test of learning result To the Next, the date of pretest result in analysis to know the students beginning ability from the both of sample before giving them the treatment. whereas to posttest result the statistic analysis that using is homogeneity test, normality test, and test experiment. From the result analysis, the posttest date inferential that T (arithmetic) > T (table), than Ha is not receive and Ho is receive. That means the students Mathematics achievement that learn by the model of cooperative learning Think Pair Share more better yet from before by the model of conversional learning on grade VIII, one semester in SMP Kristen 1 Amanuban Barat academic year 2013/2014.
