Abstract
Thesis title: Application of Assertive Exercise Through Group Guidance Services To Improve Students' Ability To Express Opinions. The problems in writing this thesis are (1) Why is the application of assertive exercises through group guidance to improve students' ability to express opinions? (2) What is the procedure for assertive training through group guidance to improve students' ability to express opinions? (3) Is assertive training through group guidance effective in increasing students' ability to express opinions? The purpose of writing this thesis is to find out (1) the reasons for using assertive exercises through group guidance to improve students' ability to express opinions. (2) The procedure for implementing assertive exercises to improve students' ability to express opinions. (3) The effectiveness of assertive training through group guidance improves students' ability to convey opinions. The study method used in this thesis is library research. The object of study in the thesis is assertiveness training and the ability to express opinions. The data source used by the author is a secondary data source in the form of journal articles related to this thesis. The type of data in this thesis is qualitative. The results of the discussion are assertive exercises through group guidance can improve students' ability to express opinions because assertive exercises aim to help students to improve students' abilities to communicate what others want, feel and think so as to eliminate situations and hinder expressing opinions. Assertive training procedures through group guidance to improve students' ability to express opinions through the following steps: rational strategy, identification of situations that cause problems, distinguishing assertive and non-assertive behavior and exploring targets, playing roles, giving feedback, and providing models of appropriate behavior. better, carrying out exercises and practices, repeating exercises, homework and follow-up, termination. The effectiveness of assertive training through group guidance to improve students' ability to express opinions is supported by previous research articles.
