Abstract

The Kejora Street segment, located in Oebufu Village, Maulafa District, Kupang City, has a length of 1.2 km and a width of 5 meters. Kejora Street is a strategically important urban road, serving as a transportation infrastructure that supports various economic, social, educational, health, and other activities of the community. However, the road surface of Kejora Street has been damaged due to heavy vehicles (trucks and tanks) frequently passing through, resulting in issues such as potholes, gravel disintegration, cracks, and other forms of deterioration. The research objective for the Kejora Street segment in Oebufu Village, Maulafa District, Kupang City is to determine the magnitude of the Surface Distress Index (SDI) along the 1.2 km stretch. The research findings for the Kejora Street segment reveal that the SDI value is <50, indicating good condition, in segments 2, 5, 10, 11, and 12, accounting for 41.7% of the total. SDI values ranging from 50 to 100, indicating moderate distress, are observed in segments 1 and 3, representing 16.6%. Additionally, SDI values ranging from 100 to 150, indicating slight damage, are present in segments 4, 6, 7, 8, and 9, comprising 41.7% of the total. The average SDI value across the segments is 67.7, categorizing the overall road condition as moderate.
