Abstract

One of the main subjects in the Arts and Culture course is Music Ensemble.The skill of playing music ensemble iscrucial for students to develop affective and psychomotor abilities, as well as cognitive skills. Music ensemble learning at SMKS Trikari has been implemented primarily in theory; thus, students lack the skills to play it.The problem addressed in this research is the process and results of blended music ensemble learning with the Bengu Rele Kaju song model using the drill and imitation methods for grade XI students at SMKS Trikari in Miomaffo Tengah, TTU Regency. This research utilizes a qualitative approach with the method of classroom action research. The learning process took place over 13 meetings. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentary studies. Data were analyzed qualitatively.The research results indicate that: 1) the learning process occurred over 13 meetings, with students intensively imitating the examples provided by the researcher while practicing repeatedly. Imitation and drill methods were highly effective in the blended music ensemble learning process for grade XI students at SMKS Trikari; 2) Students were able to play the blended music ensemble well, performing the Bengu Rele Kaju song with a rhythm of 1-71, maintaining a stable tempo, and dynamics according to the score.
