Abstract
Pianika ensemble is a musical performance using many musical instruments together. In this lesson, students must be able to play the pianika ensemble by paying attention to sound harmony, cohesiveness when starting and ending, and being able to maintain the tempo of the game. The problem at SMP Negeri 1 Biboki Utara is that music learning, especially ensemble music practice, is hampered by limited facilities in the form of musical instruments at school. In addition, the implementation of ensemble music learning practices is also not maximally developed, this is due to the lack of student interest both individually and in groups in learning musical instruments which is also a major obstacle in the implementation of ensemble music learning. The main problem in this study is how the learning process of pianika ensemble music playing through the drill method for students of SMP Negeri 1 Biboki Utara. This research aims to find out the pianika ensemble game through the drill method as one of the extracurricular activities for students of SMP Negeri 1 Biboki Utara. This research is qualitative in nature, with the method used being the field action method. The way to obtain data is through observation, interviews and documentation. Research on pianika ensemble music was carried out in 3 stages: the initial stage, the core stage, and the final stage, which was carried out for nine meetings. during the learning process of pianika ensemble music some students experienced difficulties in reading notation, dancing, playing tempo, and cohesiveness. These difficulties were overcome by training repeatedly until they were able to understand well. The results achieved by students by training repeatedly and receiving materials provided by researchers. students can understand the techniques of playing pianika ensemble music properly and correctly, and have been able to play pianika ensemble music, by maintaining a balance between instrument sounds, cohesiveness in playing, and maintaining tempo well. In addition, it provides new experiences and understanding to students on how to use good and correct pianica technique, read notation well, recognize the value of notes, beat and rhythm. These results show that the learning of pianika ensemble playing in the song model "Over The Rainbow" has been successful and has made a positive contribution to extracurricular activities at SMP Negeri 1 Biboki Utara.
