Abstract

The research entitled "The Effces of Learning Motivation, Learning Environment, Digital Literacy and Learning Ethos on Learning Achievement of Class IX Students of SMPK St. Pius X Lewoleba Lembata", written by Maria Imakulata Siba Erap, student number 8122005, supervised by Dr. Cosmas Fernandes SVD, MA and Dr. Damianus Talok, MA. The purpose of this research is to determine and analyze the influence of learning motivation, learning environment, digital literacy and learning ethos on learning achievement. The object of the research was students of SMPK St. Pius X Lewoleba The population of the research was Class IX students at SMP St. Pius X Lewoleba, with a total sample of 177 respondents. Sampling used a nonprobability sampling technique, namely saturated sampling (census). Data collection techniques used questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The types of data in this research are quantitative and qualitative data, while the sources are primary data and secondary data. The research instrument used was a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability first. The analysis method used in this research was descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis, namely multiple linear regression, hypothesis testing, t -test, F- test, and coefficient of determination. The results of this research indicate that the respondents' assessment of the research variables was in the fairly good and good categories, namely the learning motivation variable of 67.57 with a fairly good predicate category, the learning environment variable of 65.08 with a fairly good predicate category, digital literacy of 68.42 with a good predicate category, learning ethos of 67.81 with a fairly good predicate category, and learning achievement variable of 67.71 with a fairly good predicate category. The results of the t-test indicate that the learning motivation variables (X1), learning environment (X2), digital literacy (X3), have a positive and significant effect on learning achievement. The learning ethos variable (X4) has a negative effect on learning achievement. The results of the F test show that four independent variables simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the dependent variable of learning achievement. Based on the results of the R test, it is known that the coefficient of determination (R Square) is 0.624. This means that the independent variables, namely learning motivation, learning environment, digital literacy and learning ethos, contribute 62.4% to learning achievement, while the remaining 37.6% is contributed by other variables not included in this research.
