Abstract
A common problem in education today is the gap in teachers' ability to integrate technology into classroom learning. Some teachers, especially senior ones, struggle to utilize digital technology, leading to monotonous and unengaging lessons for students. This research aims to 1) determine students' learning activities and physics learning outcomes through the application of a digital-based differentiated learning approach on the topic of temperature and thermal expansion for seventh grade, and 2) determine the improvement in students' physics learning outcomes through the application of a digital-based differentiated learning approach on the topic of temperature and thermal expansion for seventh grade. This study uses a quantitative quasi-experimental research method with a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The sample consists of 23 seventh-grade A students. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, questionnaires, and test questions. The learning materials used are teaching modules, student worksheets (LKPD), and digital-based learning media. Data analysis techniques include instrument testing, learning outcome analysis, learning activity analysis, and N-Gain test. The results of this research show that: first, all indicators of student learning activities received an average score of 87.88%, categorized as very high. Second, the results also indicate a significant improvement in student learning outcomes after applying the digital-based differentiated learning approach, with an N-Gain score of 0.72, categorized as high. This proves that there has been an improvement in student learning outcomes after implementing a digital-based differentiated learning approach on the topic of temperature and thermal expansion.
