Abstract

Thesis Title: Student Perception Competence of Guidance and Counseling Teacher Pedagogical Competence According to At Sint Carolus Catholic High School Kupang in the 2023/2024 academic year. This study was conducted to determine the pedagogical competence of guidance and counseling teachers at Sint Carolus Catholic High School Kupang. The problem in this study is how the pedagogical competence of guidance and counseling teachers according to students' perceptions. The sample of this study was 62 grade XII students of Sint Carolus Catholic High School Kupang. This study is a quantitative research type. The data collection tool used was a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used central tendency analysis and was processed with the help of the SPSS application for windows version 26. The results of the research data analysis showed an average score of 155.81 which was in the score range of 164-201. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the pedagogical competence of guidance and counseling teachers, at Sint Carolus Catholic High School Kupang, is included in the very high category. Thus, it can be concluded that the guidance and counseling teachers at Sint Carolus Catholic High School, Kupang, have performed their duties well. Based on the above research findings, the researcher recommends: a)The principal of Sint Carolus Catholic High School, Kupang, to continue supporting the guidance and counseling teachers in carrying out their duties. b) The guidance and counseling teachers should continue to xii improve their pedagogical skills professionally. c) Students are expected to remain active in participating in guidance and counseling activities.
