Abstract
This paper aims to see the difficulty of learning mathematics which is marked by a certain condition by the existence of obstacles in learning activities so that the learning objectives are not as expected. Students who experience difficulties in learning mathematics on an understanding that lies in understanding using concepts, using principles and solving verbal problems in mathematics. Concepts, principles, and verbal in mathematics can also help these students in terms of their mathematical connection skills. Mathematical connection ability is the ability to link mathematical ideas in one concept with other concepts in solving problems. Mathematics subjects consist of various topics which are related to one another. These relationships are not only between topics in mathematics, but there are also links between mathematics and scientific disciplines and everyday life.
