Abstract

Thesis entitled "The Influence of the Role of Teachers and Online Learning During this pandemic, with the implementation of learning from home,learning motivation factors, the role of teachers and learning facilities are very much needed so that the learning process can show good student learning outcomes or achievements. Class XI students of SMA Negeri 5 Kupang City also undergo the process of learning from home,where in this process there are obstacles so that learning achievement is not good. The purpose of this study was to determine: 1) Description of student achievement, teacher's role, learning facilities and student motivation of SMA Negeri 5 Kupang; 2) The role of teachers and learning facilities have a significant effect on student motivation at SMA Negeri 5 Kupang; 3) The role of teachers, learning facilities and learning motivation have a significant effect on student achievement in SMA Negeri 5 Kupang; ) Learning motivation can mediate the significant influence of the teacher's role and learning facilities on student achievement in SMA Negeri 5 Kupang. This study uses quantitative methods. The sample of this research is the students of class XI SMA Negeri 5 Kupang City, totaling 97 people. The types of data used are qualitative data and quantitative data. Data collection techniques are through questionnaires, documentation studies, interviews and observations. The analysis technique uses the SmartPLS application. The results of descriptive statistical analysis showed that learning achievement, learning motivation, teacher's role and learning facilities for class XI students of SMA Negeri 5 Kupang were good. The results of the path analysis show that 1) The role of teachers and learning facilities has a positive and significant effect on the learning motivation of class XI students at SMA Negeri 5 Kupang. 2) The role of teachers, learning facilities and learning motivation have a positive and significant effect on student achievement in class XI SMA Negeri 5 Kupang. 3) Learning motivation significantly mediates the influence of the teacher's role and learning facilities on student achievement in SMA Negeri 5 Kupang. The result of the coefficient of determination(R2) states that the ability of the teacher's role and learning facilities in explaining the learning motivation variable is 75.7% and the ability of the learning motivation variable, the teacher's role and learning facilities in explaining the learning achievement variable is 72.9%. Based on the results of this study, the suggestions from the researchers are: increasing the role of teachers, both as educators,examples and advisors; improve learning facilities by directing students to use learning facilities as well as possible; increase motivation to learn by continuing to encourage students to learn and provide direction to students to prioritize the completion of school assignments.
