Abstract

This study aims to determine how student learning outcomes and is there any effect of online learning on increasing mathematics learning outcomes on the subject of the Pythagoras theorem in junior high school. The sample in this study were students of class VIII C catholic junior high school St. Yoseph Naikoten, totaling 28 people. The data used in this study are the pretest and posttest scores from the experimental class with online learning. The data obtained were analyzed using the SPSS program and manual analysis. Before testing the hypothesis, a prerequisite test is carried out, namely the normality test for pretest and posttest data. From the pretest results obtained data sig.(2-tailed) = 0,64 > 0,05 and = 0,140 < = 0,250 then H0 is accepted, thus it is concluded that the data is normally distributed. While the posttest data obtained the value of sig.(2-tailed) = 0,198 > 0,05 and = 0,203 < = 0,250 then H0 is accepted, thus concluded that the data is normally distributed. The use of the hypothesis using a paired sample test after the data was analyzed obtained the value of sig.(2-tailed) = 0,00 < 0.05 and = 26,328 > = 2,05183 then reject H0, so it is concluded that there is a significant influence on online learning on mathematics learning outcomes for class VIII students of catholic junior high school St Yoseph Naikoten for the academic year 2020/2021
