Abstract
This study aims to analyze the mathematical creative thinking of seventh grade junior high school students in solving rectangular problems, especially rectangles. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used are observation, tests and interviews. The instruments used to collect data are creative thinking test questions and interview guidelines. The subjects in this study were two high-ability students. The indicators of creative thinking used include fluency, flexibility and novelty. The results of the study were concluded based on the level of creative thinking ability (TBK). The results showed that the first subject could meet all three indicators (fluency, flexibility, novelty), so it was classified as being in TBK 4 (very creative), while the second subject could meet one indicator (novelty), so it was classified as being in TBK 2 (quite creative).
